It Is Not Too Late

It Is Not Too Late To Train A Horse In My Summer Clinic

I have some horses that did not sell at the Big Bad Horse Sale take a look at them right here!

So what, you may be saying, well you have this week to buy one of these horses and qualify to participate in the clinic with your new horse. They are priced from $800 to $2200 so if you are strapped for cash buy a lower priced horse and take advantage of this summer horse training series. Here are a few advantages of training a horse in my clinic:

  • Learn training techniques you have never seen any where else
  • Take what you learn at the clinic and bring the rest of your horses up to snuff
  • Attend all sessions and I’ll buy your horse back at full price that you paid me
(horse must not be injured, in poor shape, or poor health to qualify)
  • That’s right you can get all the summer training clinics for FREE no questions asked
  • These training techniques work on all horses
  • Old people can use these training techniques
  • Fat people can use these training techniques
  • Young people can use these training techniques
  • I’m old, fat and 67 years old and they work for me, should work for you too

So if you or your spouse have been reluctant to buy a horse right now for any reason whether it is the economy, the cash outlay, not sure if you can handle a horse, inexperience with horses, have not found the perfect horse yet, just get one of these BBHS horses and you simply can not loose, it is a win win situation for everyone involved.

Call me 360-398-1505 right away because June 16 in less than a week away and this offer in not valid after the clinic series starts.

They could not make it to the Big Bad Horse Sale

They Called After The Big Bad Horse Sale

The father and daughter were bombing down the Smith road and she saw “him” she then instructed Dad to call.  “Him” turned out to be “Red” or Brickhouse Bonnet, one of the horses that did not sell at the Big Bad Horse Sale.  Turns out the young girl had formed a strong attachment to Red while he was at Brian Kooiker’s training stable.  Short story Red has a new owner. Going to a nice home like the rest of the horses that were sold.

The Big Bad Horse Sale Is Over

The Big Bad Horse Sale was a Success In Many Ways

  • One of my riders did not show up, but Brian Kooiker cowboyed up and rode many of the horses along with Wendy Croney
  • It was raining earlier in the morning but cleared up as the day wore on
  • Few people showed up early but then they started to pour in the gate and over 120 people showed up
  • My friend John Balkenbush had a family emergency but flew in from Montana anyway to attend the sale I originally bought most of my breeding stock from John and I really appreciate the effort he made to be at the sale.
  • Had only 1 0r 2 bids an hour into the silent auction, but sold 11 out of 18 head at the end of it
  • Was not sure how many people would join us for lunch, but went through 100 hamburgers, 80 hot dogs, 3 gallons of beans, 32 pounds of potato salad, 9 cases of pop and water, 200 brownies, and 20 pots of coffee
  • There were a lot of smiling people attending seemed that people got a chance to catch up on old times, I actually smiled myself near the end
  • My horses went to some very fine homes and for that I am very grateful

One More Day Untill The Big Bad Horse Sale

Tomorrows The Day

Friday we are painting the lot# on the horses hip and brushing hair like crazy. I keep lowering the minimum bid on the horses, because I want everyone to feel that they are getting a bargain at the Big Bad Horse Sale. I feel so honored that people have contacted me and have said how excited they are about coming to see the horses. There are several stories that have shored up my spirits as the long days getting ready for this sale are taking their toll. I’d like to share some of those stories with you.

I received a phone call from a man in Hawaii who had seen my website and liked the bloodlines of my horses, was wanting a broodmare with Joe Hancock breeding, we had a nice conversation and he said he was going to get an airline reservation right away and fly in to my horse sale. Well today my dog Shelby went tearing out the door barking like crazy, had to go check what riled him up, well lo and behold there in the parking area stood the man from Hawaii, I had said if he flew in early to pop by and I was so glad he did, and yes he does like the looks of my mares and is coming to the sale on Saturday.

I also got a call from a young lady who found my website and had some questions about some of the horses in the sale. She was forced to sell her horse when she relocated to this area about three months ago, and was itching to get a new horse and start riding again, most of us can relate to that scenario.  Sounds like this gal is a pretty good hand and can really finish a horse off nicely. After some good conversation, she asked if it was possible for me to deliver a horse locally, if she purchased one at the sale, I asked where and she told me how she wanted one of my horses so bad that she put money down on reserving accommodations at a small stable. Now this makes me feel so humble and happy that she shared this, can’t wait to meet her.

There have been numerous email from horsemen and horsewomen inquiring about horses that would fill their needs, sharing their special circumstances that require a certain type of horse, in some cases I have been able to give them answers, sometimes I have requested they look me up at the sale and we can work on more of the details.  At any rate I personally am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you who attends the Big Bad Horse Sale.
